How we calculate this
This calculator applies 2026/27 UK Income Tax bands for the selected region: the three-band system used in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, or Scotland's own six-band system set by the Scottish Parliament. The Personal Allowance tapers away between £100,000 and £125,140. Class 1 employee National Insurance is applied UK-wide. It does not include Student Loan repayments, Marriage Allowance, or salary-sacrifice adjustments, and is intended as an estimate. For an exact figure, consult a licensed tax professional or HMRC.
