Canada Paycheck Calculator

Enter your gross pay to see federal tax, CPP or QPP, EI or QPIP, and provincial or territorial tax broken out line by line, using 2026 CRA and provincial figures. Choose your province or territory in the form.

How we calculate this

This calculator applies the 2026 CRA federal income tax brackets and the selected province or territory's 2026 brackets and basic personal amount. Outside Quebec it deducts the enhanced CPP and CPP2 contributions from income, then applies the basic personal amount, CPP, EI and Canada employment credits to federal tax and the CPP and EI premium credits to provincial tax. Ontario includes the Ontario surtax and the Ontario Health Premium. Quebec uses QPP and QPIP with the reduced EI rate, and the 16.5% federal abatement is shown as its own line.

The Ontario calculation has been checked line by line against a hand calculation of the published method. Figures for the other provinces and territories use the same method but have not yet been independently checked, so treat them as estimates. The calculator does not include itemized deductions, Quebec contribution credits or other personal credits, and is not tax advice. For an exact figure, consult a licensed tax professional or the CRA.
