Singapore Salary Calculator

Enter your gross pay to see income tax and employee CPF broken out line by line, using IRAS resident tax rates and CPF Board contribution rules. Choose Foreign tax resident if you do not pay CPF.

Worked example: S$60,000 salary

Employee CPF is 20% of S$60,000 = S$12,000. Chargeable income is S$60,000 less S$1,000 Earned Income Relief and S$12,000 CPF Relief = S$47,000. Income tax is nothing on the first S$20,000, 2% on the next S$10,000 (S$200), 3.5% on the next S$10,000 (S$350) and 7% on the remaining S$7,000 (S$490), a total of S$1,040. Take-home pay is S$60,000 - S$12,000 - S$1,040 = S$46,960 a year, or about S$3,913.33 a month.

This example is checked against a hand-calculated test in our code. It assumes a Singapore citizen or permanent resident aged 55 or below, with no bonus and no other reliefs.

How we calculate this

This calculator applies the IRAS resident tax rates (0% on the first S$20,000, rising to 24% above S$1,000,000), Earned Income Relief of S$1,000 and CPF Relief equal to your employee CPF contribution. Employee CPF is 20% of ordinary wages up to the monthly ceiling of S$8,000 that applies from 1 January 2026. CPF is shown as a contribution, not as income tax. The default option assumes a citizen or permanent resident aged 55 or below, in the third year of permanent residence or later. The Foreign tax resident option uses the same tax rates and Earned Income Relief with no CPF. It does not cover non-residents, people over 55, permanent residents in their first two years, bonuses, family reliefs or rebates. It is an estimate. For an exact figure, consult IRAS or a tax professional.
